Nouhad is the owner and founder of CommuniCare Speech Therapy. She carries a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology, a professional credential from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Nouhad is also licensed by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispenser Board. She is a certified Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluation specialist working directly with individuals with complex communication needs including autism spectrum disorder. Nouhad graduated from California State University, Northridge with her Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and from California State University, Fullerton with her Master's degree (M.A.) in Communicative Disorders. Her clinical experience includes working in special education with individuals with varying developmental levels, cultural-linguistic differences, and neurodiverse/neurodivergent backgrounds. In doing so, she was able to to collaborate with families, educational teams, and other service providers to help individuals with complex communication needs through AAC and evidence based practice. Her clinical experience also includes working with with preschool aged children through geriatrics, providing clinical services, targeting a variety of speech, language, swallowing, fluency, and voice disorders.
