Our Services

 We offer a comprehensive speech, language evaluation. The evaluation process consists of a parent/caregiver interview to gather background information, informal and/or formal measures, observations, and client-therapist interactions. A full diagnostic report will be completed which will include performance on assessments, observations, and a plan of care if treatment is recommended. 

At CommuniCare speech therapy, we focus on pursuing a naturalistic, neurodiversity affirming, evidence based, and a goal driven treatment approach. The clinician will collect data and closely monitor progress towards goals. We provide tele-therapy treatment, in addition to in-person treatment from the comfort of your own home.

 Early intervention is designed to support children ages 0-3 who may be showing signs of a language disorder or delay.  We implement a play-based approach with an emphasis on parent coaching as it is an integral part of treatment, and provide parent coaching services as part of our client's treatment plan or as its own service for parents and caretakers. 

If your child has a learning disability, a developmental disorder, or another diagnosis that causes an impact to education at school, they may 

be eligible for an IEP – an individualized education plan.

It can be difficult to navigate the special education system as a parent or guardian. We are here to support you to understand, advocate, and navigate the IEP process in LA whether your child already has an IEP or if you would like to request one for them.
